Water, sanitation and health
Itad strengthens WASH and health outcomes by generating evidence and helping organisations improve strategies, monitoring and data systems to deliver sustainable, equitable services that improve lives.
Water, sanitation and hygiene are fundamental to life, health and human dignity, and are central to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Our WASH team brings extensive practical and academic expertise in monitoring, evaluation and learning to help clients and partners understand what works, strengthen their strategies and achieve meaningful, long-term impact.
WASH sits at the heart of environment, development and public health. Safe water and sanitation, combined with good hygiene practices, are essential for preventing disease, supporting well-being and enabling resilient communities. Water is also a critical economic, social and natural resource that must be managed sustainably to protect ecosystems and ensure equitable access for all.
We generate evidence on what does and does not lead to sustainable WASH outcomes and help partners act on that learning. Through evaluations, systems analysis and support to strengthening monitoring, data and feedback mechanisms, we contribute to more effective WASH policies, programmes and service delivery that improve lives and safeguard resources for the future.
