Mobilising private finance into climate change: Webinar shares evaluation lessons

We were delighted to co-host a webinar on 17 March sharing lessons from the portfolio-level evaluation of the UK’s International Climate Finance (ICF) programmes with the UK Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

23/02/2021

The webinar followed on from the recently completed HMG Climate Change Compass evaluation that looked at how successful ICF programmes were in mobilising private finance into investing in climate change projects.

Speakers from BEIS and Itad discussed the evaluation approach, the findings and how they were used, as well as lessons for future policy.

The webinar recording is now available on our Youtube channel.

ICF is the primary channel of UK climate change finance. It funds a diverse portfolio of programmes sat within three government departments, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the Department for Business, Energy and Industry Strategy (BEIS); and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).

Itad was a core partner in HMG Climate Change Compass, a consortium led by IMC Worldwide which supported ICF and the UK government to develop and refine the ICF Key Performance Indicators analyse and synthesise evidence and learning from ICF programmes.
