Itad strongly believes that policies are not just pieces of paper to be created and filed away but are incorporated into our way of being and behaviour. These policies reflect our values and who Itad is.
These policies apply to all of those who work with us: staff, independent contractors, subcontractors, partners and suppliers. We also expect our clients to behave in ways that are in line with our values.
Itad has developed a ‘Framework for Working with Itad’ which provides guidance and support to individuals making decisions and carrying out their work in ways that are compatible with Itad’s values. COVID-19 office risk assessment (published: 1st July 2020, last updated: 21st September 2020)
Our COVID-19 risk assessment forms the foundation of the actions, mitigations and guidance that we have put in place to ensure that we return to our office safely after closure due to the pandemic. This covers physical distancing, cleanliness and hygiene and expectations of our staff to ensure we keep each other safe. We will continue to review and update this risk assessment and the related guidance. The office is not open to external visitors.
Our Code of Ethics sets out guidance for the ethical behaviour of our staff. It is underpinned by our company values and sets out the minimum standards of behaviour and compliance. Where appropriate, the Code refers to legal requirements, other regulations and company policy. Our Ethical Framework includes policies in relation to professional conduct, modern-slavery, anti-bribery, equality and discrimination, research ethics, environmental and data protection.

Global Safety & Security
Itad takes the safety and security of travelling staff and contractors seriously, particularly as the focus of our sector shifts further towards working in conflict and disaster-affected environments.
We have developed a Risk Management Framework that helps us to provide a safer and more secure working environment, which minimises and manages risk, and enables us to remain present and operational across our overseas projects. Risk management is an integral part of our day-to-day decision making and feeds into our broader strategic objectives.
Safeguarding is a priority for Itad. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive working environment for our staff and those we work with. Our Code of Conduct sets out minimum behavioural standards as a condition of employment or engagement with Itad.
We provide training to all staff on what Safeguarding is, what the code of conduct means to us and how to report and handle any issues that may arise.
