Global Fund Advocacy Portfolio Level Assessment

The Global Fund partnership mobilises and invests more than US$4 billion a year to support programmes run by local experts in more than 100 countries to accelerate the end of AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Itad assessed the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s efforts to ensure the Global Fund resource mobilisation strategy is sustainable.

1/03/2020

The Gates Foundation has been funding a number of organisations to perform advocacy work to mobilise resources for the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

Our role

To maximise the contribution of government donors to the Global Fund’s 5th replenishment, the Gates Foundation tasked Itad with developing a clearly articulated Theory of Change for the GFA (Global Fund Advocacy) investments that support resource mobilisation for the Fund, conducting an in-depth assessment and mapping of the existing M&E systems and tools being used by grantees, and assessing the contributions and effectiveness of the GFA investments in supporting the Global Fund resource mobilisation strategy and in maintaining sustainable support for the Fund.
