Itad recently completed an evaluation of the Medicines Transparency Alliance (MeTA). This policy briefing provides a brief overview of the evaluation methods, findings, challenges and recommendations.
MeTA was a DFID-funded initiative, coordinated by Health Action International (HAI) and the World Health Organisation (WHO), and implemented in seven pilot countries (Ghana, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Peru, the Philippines, Uganda and Zambia) from 2008.
You can read the final report here. The team also blogged about their experiences, and if you want to find out more about the initial evaluation, visit our project page.
