Fernanda Pinheiro Sequeira brings over a decade of expertise in the private, public, and voluntary sectors. She has been a pivotal member of the Itad team for more than 5 years; having started as a Project Administrator, Fernanda swiftly progressed to a Research Analyst and then Consultant.

As a core member of the Human Development team, she plays a key role in managing and steering global health and education Strategy, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (SMEL) projects.

Proficient in both qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation methods and approaches, she has an impressive portfolio boasting contributions to 15+ SMEL projects across 7+ countries. She holds particular expertise in collaborations with Foundations, championing evidence-based decision-making in international development.

Passionate about effecting change, she draws on experiences from small grassroots charities and various sectors in Brazil and the UK. Fernanda believes her diverse background uniquely positions her to excel in delivering projects within complex environments, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.

Fernanda holds an MA in Social Development from the University of Sussex, with a dissertation exploring the impact of the Zika virus epidemic on the abortion debate in Brazil.  She is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Fernanda continues to advocate for the decolonization of the international development sector and the building of the capacity of the next generation of evaluators, most known as young and emerging evaluators (YYE), through her association with Eval Youth Brazil and P2p+ initiatives.
