Vishal Gadhavi on ‘Graduating from Social Protection’

To eradicate extreme poverty (or ‘leave no-one behind’) requires a practical mix of political and operational tools and resources to realise this ambitious goal.

Itad’s Vishal Gadhavi gave a talk at ODI on his recent contribution to the IDS Bulletin ‘Graduating from Social Protection‘ on the 10th July.

His presentation covered an example of one donor-funded graduation programme in Bangladesh which experimented the use of smartphone and internet technology to monitor project beneficiaries’ graduation status out of extreme poverty (and therefore out of one form of social protection support) on a huge scale.
