Itad is working with British Council and Interaction Yemen to undertake independent monitoring and verification of DFID’s programmes in Yemen (Ta’zeez programme).

The aim of the project

The purpose of our work is to independently verify the implementation and outputs of DFID funded projects across the four pillars of humanitarian, governance, wealth creation and PHV (poverty, hunger and vulnerability). We are doing this through observation, interviews with programme staff and focus group discussions with beneficiary communities. We are also undertaking a number of in-depth research studies on areas where there are major gaps in evidence, including a comparison of approaches to cash transfers, and a comparison of delivery mechanisms between Government systems and NGOs.

Itad is providing two long-term experts to the core team in the role of quality assuring the verification methodology and reports. We are also providing short-term technical experts covering humanitarian assistance, election monitoring, wealth creation, social protection, WASH, nutrition and cash transfer programming.
