Ruth has over 12 years’ experience in international development, encompassing both the health and education sectors. She has strategic and operational programme management experience in over 10 countries in both NGOs and the public sector.
With over 10 years’ of work experience based in developing countries, Ruth’s high-level managerial and technical expertise combined with valuable cross-cultural skills enable her to understand stakeholders’ perspectives, and focus on effective adaptive programme management and learning partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups. Ruth has particular technical expertise in public sector health management, including management of quality improvement, epidemiological surveillance, childhood undernutrition and maternal and child health programmes along with all-hazard response planning. She has a background in advocacy work, specifically in the tuberculosis sector.
Ruth joined Itad in 2019. Her current focus is on theory-based global health security evaluations and third-party monitoring partnerships.
