Liz Avital has over 20 years of experience in global health and social care development, focusing on advancing patient care and developing healthcare infrastructures that are both robust and sustainable.

Liz brings a strong track record of policy, programmes and people leadership; delivering results at the global level and measurable changes at the national and community level. She has specialist expertise in cross-cultural appropriateness and knowledge translation frameworks.

In addition, she has extensive experience of patient, user and beneficiary safety in a range of low-resource and complex health settings. She also has extensive experience of guidelines and framework development as well as empirically led evaluation and impact analysis.

She holds a PhD from the University of Warwick on the cultural translation and adaptation of evidence-based knowledge into clinical practice.  Liz has a keen interest in the identification of and barriers to successful cultural translation and implementation to inform future cross-cultural knowledge translation.
