Katie Bitten

Programme Officer

Katie is an experienced project manager in the humanitarian and development sectors. She joined Itad in 2024 as Project Manager for the CSSF (ISF) Africa and MENA contracts, supporting UK government programme teams in their monitoring, evaluation and learning across East Africa, North Africa and the Middle East.

Prior to joining Itad, Katie spent 6 years managing emergency response and climate adaptation programmes across the Middle East, East Africa and Asia for RedR UK, a learning and capacity building NGO. She has worked with institutional, multilateral and government funders, as well as grant-making foundations, and has previously worked for and volunteered with grassroots charities in Nepal, Argentina and Mongolia.

She is passionate about climate action and working towards inclusivity here in the UK too, currently volunteering with Refugee Action, an NGO supporting those seeking sanctuary in York, where she is currently based.
