Georgie Kane joined itad in January 2019 as a Project Manager, working on our projects for the UK government’s Conflict, Stability and Security Fund (CSSF). Georgie’s responsibilities include oversight of project processes, including detailed project and financial monitoring and reporting, delivery against workplans and budgets, and contractual management and compliance.
Georgie has over 13 years of experience working in public sector and international development organisations in the UK, Africa and Asia. She has particular strengths in developing and strengthening organisational systems and processes with a view to efficient and effective project delivery.
Before joining Itad, Georgie worked in a number of roles at International HIV/AIDS Alliance, spending the last 2 years as Lead: Rapid Response Fund, managing a $4M Rapid Response Fund that issued over 145 emergency grants to small, LGBT civil society organisations in Africa and the Caribbean. Prior to working at the Alliance, she project-managed the transition of Merlin’s Awards to Save the Children as part of the organisational merger.
From 2012 to 2014, Georgie was based in West Africa in the country office of United Purpose, providing organisational overview and development of grant management systems, direct support to implementing partners, and oversight of project management.
Georgie holds an MSc in Social Psychology: Health, Community and Development, from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and has a particular interest in community engagement, capacity strengthening, behaviour change and health and well-being.
