Vicky Sword-Daniels is a Senior Consultant at Itad. She has over 10 years’ experience in climate resilience and disaster risk reduction research, knowledge exchange, monitoring and evaluation and practice. Vicky specialises in qualitative research design and participatory data collection.
Vicky has a particular focus on climate change and natural resources, and has specific interests in urban resilience, adaptation and mitigation and disaster recovery. She has worked across Central and South America, the Caribbean, East Africa, Asia and the Pacific.
Prior to joining Itad, Vicky was a post-doctoral researcher at University College London and a Knowledge Exchange Fellow. She has experience in formative and developmental evaluation approaches, enhancing research impact, the design and facilitation of knowledge sharing workshops, as well as brokering and building relationships with partners and stakeholders. She has a Doctorate in Urban Sustainability and Resilience, which focused on disaster recovery and adaptation of complex infrastructure systems in chronic hazard contexts. She also has over two years’ experience in the engineering sector.
