As a senior evaluation and research lead, Tara provides a wide range of exert support to the USAID/Nepal mission and implementing partners on designing and managing research, evaluation and assessment methodologies, data collection and analysis methods. He provides robust project management and quality assurance of USAID commissioned evaluation and research projects.
Tara brings more than a decade of experience in program and project designing, qualitative and quantitative research approaches, data analysis skills, practical and technical skills in program quality management, and MEL approaches.
His experience in program quality management includes developing and managing the monitoring, evaluation and large scale research/assessments for donors including USAID, FCDO, USDA, SDC, UNDP, UNICEF and other UN agencies.
His research interests include strategic management, policy and practice of developing countries, WASH, governance and options for integrating education, public health and livelihood as system approach.
Prior to joining Itad, Tara worked with DAI Global LLC for Nepal USAID Karnali Water Activity as Director of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL). Tara holds a PhD in Educational Leadership from Kathmandu University, Nepal.
