Fabiola Lopez-Gomez is a development economist with over 10 years’ research and consulting experience in the field of international development. She specialises in MEL methods primarily relating to market systems, infrastructure and business environment reform programmes.
Fabiola has significant experience designing and implementing quantitative research. She has recently finished an evaluation of the first market systems programme in Nepal, where she led the design and implementation of the quantitative component of the evaluation.
Her work also focuses on dynamic and adaptive monitoring systems used in complex programmes. She has experience designing MEL systems that are flexible and adaptive to promote learning and improvement.
She also has a strong track record working on programmes which promote engagement and uptake of research. For example, she developed a mapping tool to help stakeholders to access evidence quickly and easy.
Fabiola holds a PhD in international development from the University of East Anglia.
