- How our recruitment process aligns with our core values
At Itad, we believe that everyone deserves a fair and transparent recruitment process. Our commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion ensures that everyone is treated with respect and consideration.
We have recently changed our recruitment process by sharing interview questions and asking how we can support neurodiverse needs or anxiety at the interview stage.
We’re committed to fair and equitable hiring practices; as such, our hiring managers undergo Inclusive Recruitment training. Our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
Support for neurodiverse needs
We acknowledge that each individual possesses unique strengths. If you require any assistance, physical accommodations, or have specific neurodiverse requirements, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
Your recruitment journey
Below is an overview of our typical recruitment process/steps so you are aware of what to expect and to help you prepare.
1. Application and screening
We recognise that exceptional candidates may not perfectly match every aspect of our job descriptions and may possess skills we haven’t explicitly mentioned. If this describes you, we encourage you to apply and share more about yourself. We also encourage you to review our website to get to know us better, and learn about our culture and our values which are important to us.
To shortlist, we will consider skills and experience gained from past positions and learn about other accomplishments and strengths detailed in your CV or cover letter.
2. First stage interview (30 minutes)
If selected for an interview, we’ll invite you to a 30-minute Microsoft Teams call. During this virtual interview, you’ll meet with a member of Itad and we’ll discuss your career background, skills, and motivations. It is an opportunity for you to ask questions about the role, company culture, our values or anything else you’d like to know. (Link to values)
3. Second stage interview (1.5 hours)
Congratulations! You’ve made it to the next round! This face-to-face interview allows us to dive deeper into your experience and is an opportunity for you to meet the team and see our open plan office space.
As part of our commitment to actively promoting an inclusive approach, we know that candidates have a wide range of skills and experience, and we want to make sure that everyone is equally able to share this when we meet with them. To enable this, we offer a transparent recruitment process where you can see the full range of questions we will ask at the interview, which are structured around the core strengths that we value in all team members.
Depending on the role, you will also be asked to prepare a presentation or complete a task related to the position. Details of the presentation and interview questions will be shared in advance for you to prepare.
It is also a chance for us to share insights about Itad, discuss career opportunities, and highlight our core values that make working here exceptional!
Feedback
Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are unable to provide feedback for every submission. However, if you have participated in an interview at any stage, we will always provide feedback to help you with future applications and interviews, supporting your career aspirations.
