The Principles for Good International Engagement in Fragile States and Situations – or Fragile States Principles (FSPs) – provide a set of guidelines for operating in fragile and conflict-affected states. In 2008, partner and donor countries committed to monitoring the implementation of the Principles, alongside the already well-established monitoring of the Paris Declaration principles.
Our role
Itad, engaged by the OECD, supported the implementation of the 2011 surveys in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Liberia, Guinea-Bissau and Togo. We provided input into the survey methodology, along with country experts to collect quantitative and qualitative data, facilitate national consultation meetings, and write the country chapters. The findings from the surveys were presented at the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) Fourth High-Level Forum in Busan, Korea, in November 2011.
