Project

M&E of the NICE International Health Partnerships Scheme

Itad, with the Institute for Development Studies (IDS), worked with NICE in India and China to evaluate the piloting, scale-up and replication of evidence-based health care reforms.

22/04/2012

NICE International (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) works to support and encourage evidence-informed policy making in health care globally.

Our role

Itad in collaboration with the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) is working with NICE in India and China to evaluate the piloting, scale up and replication of evidence-based health care reforms. These reforms include clinical guidelines and quality standards in local hospitals, the effects of UK-China-India health diplomacy in promoting the use of evidence in national health policy, and South-South capacity support in delivering cost-effective health care. Itad has worked with NICE and country partners in Beijing and Kerala to design country-specific theories of change, conduct a light touch baseline assessment and will be conducting a final evaluation of the overall programme in 2014.
