A small sub-sample of research projects was analysed, and key informant interviews were held with the DFID personnel and programme managers in the rural livelihoods (NRSP, Crop Protection Programme, etc) economic and social, infrastructure and health research programmes.
DFID commissioned the evaluation of research dissemination to describe and review current means used by DFID to disseminate knowledge derived from research, identify examples of better (and worse) practice, and make recommendations on how the impact of DFID research dissemination could be enhanced.
