ITAD's experience in water supply is underpinned by our knowledge of monitoring and evaluation, one of our core business areas.

Poor water management hurts the poor the most - not only through restricting access to food production activities but more directly by impacting on access to and quality of drinking water and sanitation provision. This in turn affects health, and has a large number of follow on impacts, ranging from affecting maternal mortality to school attendance.

Our experience of stakeholder consultation and empowerment, especially through our work in participatory monitoring and evaluation helps our clients, through our facilitation - understand water better. Our experience with different institutions has allowed us to look at performance management and improved service delivery in relation to delivery for the poor and the urgent need to improve water supply and sanitation coverage. Within the context of demographic change and the growing issue of urbanisation this is a very challenging area.
