ITAD contributes to learning in Norad Annual Evaluation Report

The 2008 Annual Report for Evaluation of Norwegian Development Cooperation contains four lessons from studies conducted in the past year:
• We do not take sufficient account of political power structures in development cooperation
• Long-term use of Norwegian know-how produces results in important sectors
• Norway has too little capacity to follow up development assistance, especially at country level
• We do not manage the integration of cross-sectoral themes
These lessons have a direct bearing on how Norway will plan and organise its development cooperation in years to come. ITAD's evaluation of Norwegian HIV/AIDS responses is cited as contributing to three of the lessons and is a leading source for one of them. |
