Governments and public sector organisations are under increasing pressure to deliver results and in the process become more accountable to their constituents. Results-based management (RBM) offers a route to achieving these goals.
Results-based management often requires tackling the wider institutional setting for improving performance, creating incentives for managers to use information, and rewards for public reporting and the acknowledgement of success (results).
Since undertaking a review for UNDP, "Measuring & Managing Results: Lessons for Development Cooperation", ITAD has amassed considerable expertise in institutional change, including developing systems for performance measurement, learning and reporting.
