Public Service Reform has in the past focused on structural reforms and capacity building. Increasingly now the focus is the need for governments to demonstrate quality improvements and value for money in public services.
ITAD's involvement has focused on supporting governments to address the performance measurement challenges they face in reforming and decentralising pro-poor service delivery.
We place particular emphasis on the quality and relevance of performance indicators; the adequacy of arrangements for data collection and reporting; and the effectiveness of arrangements for management decision-making and accountability.
