Aid modalities are the ways in which aid is provided by donors to partner governments.
The different modalities range from projects through sector approaches and general budget support to balance of payments support, encompassing a variety of arrangements for conditionality, earmarking and accountability.
ITAD works with donor agencies and governments to assist them in designing and promoting practical approaches and tools that make aid modalities better understood and more effective.
